12th Annual Smokin’ Clays Shoot hosted by Casey White Foundation
Originally started by our namesake Mr. Casey White. We are striving to carry on Casey’s legacy of supporting our local Scout Troop 228, the Eddy County Special Olympics and for the 2nd year our scholarship program. The Runyan Family Scholarship, that supports Artesia Senior Graduates, that have applied and been selected by the selections committee and that are going into a vocational career, have an opportunity to earn a $1,000.00 scholarship for their school year starting the following fall.
In 2024, along with support from a private donor, we were able and privileged to support 7 Artesia graduates with a $1,000.00 scholarship for their 2024-2025 school year. We hope to raise funds from this shoot to continue this legacy and to keep supporting the Eddy County Special Olympics so that they may continue to compete in their annual tournament. These individuals really look forward to the competition and camaraderie that they get to participate in with their fellow New Mexican competitors. And as always, we wish to continue our support of the Local Scout Troop 228 that has been a truly amazing program for our local youth. Teaching them leadership, survival, life skills and hobbies as well as helping some youth figure on a career path that might not have been on their radar prior to their experience with Scouts.
